Book Review
This book is one of my least favorite in the Outlander series. It drags, the plot is convoluted, and I found myself muttering under my breath about “TMI” after just seven pages. Hint to the author: No one wants to read about a diaper change for three pages. Furthermore, it’s like the hits just keep coming for this family. I’m all for a suspension of disbelief when enjoying a work of fiction, but at what point is enough just enough?? Still, the characters are compelling and there are mysteries we want to see solved, so we persevere. But this is the one I usually tell people to skip if they can’t get into it; find a good plot synopsis online and just move on to book 7. And as ever, my warnings about graphic medical conditions and procedures apply.
