Crimson Field (PBS): Talisa from Game of Thrones is reborn as WW1 volunteer nurse. This period drama is set in a busy wartime hospital in northern France.
Poldark (PBS) Aidan Turner smolders as Russ Poldark in this reboot of the popular BBC series. Come for the hotness and stay for the drama.
Killjoys (Syfy) Space Bounty Hunters! Space Intrigue! Drinking! Fights!
Stitchers (abc Family) Kirsten “stitches” into the memories of dead people to learn how they died. The characters are rude and fun, and make up for a very obvious plot.
Sense8 (Netflix) Eight people are awakened as a “cluster”, a group able to telepathically speak to each other, and take-over each other’s bodies to perform their own special skills. Very trippy. Character drama science fiction.
Humans (AMC) Androids were created to do the work humans don’t want to, but now there are a few that can think and feel. Everyone panic!
Unreal (Lifetime) Follows the behind the scenes production of the fictional show Everlasting, a show that looks a lot like the Bachelor. Hilarious and ridiculous. Marti Noxon is co-creator and a writer on this, so just like in Buffy, there will be consequences.
Scream (MTV): Sure a redo of the Scream movies as TV is unnecessary, but it is so fun! Just the right mix of H.S. drama and body count. Don’t skip if you were a fan of the movies.
