This is a beautifully written book about an ugly post apocalyptic world. Vivid characters drive this story. Melanie especially is an amazing character to follow. She is more forgiving to the adults then any of them probably deserve, but the mix of POVs and the story itself shows all the characters in a very clear light. A great world and a great read.
