Book Review
Often considered the weakest of the seven books in the Harry Potter series, The Chamber of Secrets is a bit slower-paced than the first volume, and the plot seems to barely scrape the surface of what Rowling was attempting to achieve. It all comes together in a later entry in the series, but that doesn’t make it easier to read when you’re making your way through for the first time. Still, there are the moments of levity and magic that are the hallmarks of the series, and watching Harry and his friends grow is more than enough reward for sticking it out.
