ECCC 2019 Art Shopping List
Nerd artists have started posting what they’re bringing to ECCC this weekend! It all looks amazing. Emerald City Comic Con attracts a lot of brilliant nerd artists. This year, they’re bringing their best stuff. We’ve made you a shopping list in case you’re attending. Please pick us up all these things.
Stop by Jenny Parks Illustration at ECCC Artist Alley table EE-10 for all your nerd cat art. She has Marvel, Star Trek, Stranger Things, Doctor Who, and more, all as cats! Also two Star Trek cat art books. New prints include: Cat of the Rings, Venom, Meowth Vader, and Captain Meowvel! You can also find her art on her store and patreon. Her flight from Denver today was cancelled due to a slight snowpocalypse, so she won’t be setting up until Thursday around 4pm.
The Feminist Agenda book on this pin is obviously well used and marked for a successful Feminist campaign! I kind of want to read the text inside… Jen Bartel is at at ECCC Artist Alley table V8. Go there for great prints, patches, and pins! Possibly a combo Wonder Woman and Captain Marvel print! Jen Bartel is the co-creator and artist of Blackbird from Image Comics and cover artist for Marvel and others. Her store is on a temporary vacation for the convention, but you can find it here.
Karen Hallion keeps adding all the best inspiring nerd figures to her She Series. I’m so excited for Shuri and Doctor Who! She has many of them in pins and prints, and it looks like she may have posters combining them together. She’ll be at ECCC Artist Alley CC8. You can also find her art at her store or get it before anyone else on her patreon.
Katie Cook is the comic artist and writer of Nothing Special, an extremely fun webcomic that makes everything better. Her table at ECCC Artist Alley JJ1 will have so many cute things like the above charms. If you aren’t familiar with her comic, you should stop by and ask her about radishes. She’s also part of a panel on Convention Horror Stories Thursday at 4:15 in room TCC L3-R4. Her patreon is here.
Monkey Minion Press has new Fallout art! Also they have a coloring book version of their Beyond book just in case you want to color all your favorite space robots like Curiosity. (I do.) They’ll also have plenty of prints and magnets around the themes of space, dinosaurs, rebellion, NASA, sloths, and coffee. They’re at ECCC booth 202. Monkey Minion will also be on a panel Is My Logo a Logo? Thursday at 5:30pm room TCC L2-R4.
Here’s a teaser of the art MJ Erickson is bringing to ECCC! Critical Role, She-Ra, Spider-Gwen, and Spiderman. Plus some nerdy D&D stuff. Check out her shop here. Stop by her booth at Artist Alley Z-5.
Fellow Critters, here’s a map of Critical Role art/ artists at ECCC, put together by @Megzilla87. There’s also a Critter meet up Saturday 3/16 7pm to midnight at the Raygun Lounge at 501 E. Pine St., Seattle, WA. No ECCC badge needed!
